Adela Goldbard on the poetics of violence in her collaborative film ethnography work with the Quechua

Adela Goldbard is an interdisciplinary artist-scholar from Mexico. With her research/practice, she investigates how radical community performances can subvert dominant narratives, while also exploring the transformative potential of violence and destruction as aesthetic tools in the resistance against power.

In this session of The Coop Adela presented her collaborative work with the Quechua communities of Chumbivilcas on a participant film/sensory ethnography in the Peruvian Andes. Through this research, she explores the development of an emergent poetics of violence. adelagoldbard.com
